Bearded collie obedience championships 22.9.2013

Yesterday was Finnish bearded collie obedience championships and we were there, of course. Our obedience has been in summer break, but I decided to participate anyway. The judge loved his energy and we got some really nice critic from her. Dumle won 2.class obedience champion title and came third in whole class. It is always so much fun to work with him!

Dog Show almost in your front door is a nice change! 
Breed judge was Irina Poletaeva and Dumle got once again super critic and was BOB. Oh, yes! 
In groups Dumle was placed on third under Åke Cronander, Sweden. Many thanks for judges!!

Now we take a break from show rings and will be back after couple of months. I think that every dog needs a proper breaks at least couple time in a year. Dumle is energetic and luminous dog in the rings and I want to keep it that way.

BIS!!!

25.8.2013 I travelled to Luumäki, which is located far away from my hoods, just to get critic of my dog from Mrs.Tarja Löfman (breed specialist)
Trip was worth of making cause Dumle was BOB with awesome critic. Dumle won also GROUP1 under Tarja Löfman and that was very special winning for me, cause I have dreamed that one day Dumle wins group under specialist, so this truly was a dream come true.
At the end of the day Dumle was BIS under all rounder mister Paavo Mattila. I am so grateful that I can not describe with words... thank You judges!

Tervakoski INT 24.8.2013

In the morning I was quite nervous, cause judge of the day was mister Rainer Vuorinen, very well-known and respected all rounder. But there were no need for sweating cause Dumle won BOB and after that mister Vuorinen made me speechless by praising my boy saying that "he is extremely beautiful dog, he moves like a dream and he has very strong body with excellent muscles. He is a true beardie!"

Critic: 
Good proportions. Well balanced head and beautiful expression. Excellent topline and body. Fine angulations. Just excellent and parallel movements. Excellent quality of coat, but coat is too long below of his body."


In the pictures Dumle is going BOB. Memorylane Game Set Match was BOS.

Beardie agility championships 2013

Agility championships were 18.8. in Purina Areena, Helsinki. Dumle came second in class1 so results was fine though we didn't do our best because of my sore back. I almost cancelled our participation, but I wanted so bad to see other lovely agility beardies that I had to try...
This was our first time in agility championships, cause last year he was too young. But 2012 he already competed in obedience championships and won, it was our first competition ever.
This year we have focused on agility, so I'm not sure are we going to compete in obedience championships 2013.  Maby we will, just for fun :)

Saturday 10.8.

Breed judge was Alan Jones, Italy. He took his time and gave everyone very exact critics. I mean the whole sheet was full of text and that is how it should be.
Dumle won BOB and he was also GROUP4 under Cathrina Dunne, Ireland.

"2 years. Teeth correct. Nice size. Nice head of correct proportions. Correct stop. Lovely eye expression. Correct tail position. Nice overall shape standing with sufficient reach of neck. Nice body lenght. Correct tail lenght & carriage in movement. Coat of good texture & colour. Movement sound with very good reach & drive."

Sunday 11.8.

Judge of the day was Cathrina Dunne, Ireland. What a elegant lady!
She did her job carefully and was very pleasant for dogs. Dumle was BOB again and funny thing is that BOS was also the same bitch than yesterday. When the groups started it was pouring rain so went to a ring with wet and muddy beardie, oh my... Still Dumle was shortlisted on TOP7 under Elena Ruskovaara, but no placement this time.

"Beautifully balanced beardie. Excellent head. Good neck. Nice lenght of back. Good front. Moved effortlessly round the ring. This one really caught my eye!"
